Negev Design Center

The signature store of Negev Ceramic Designs is reopening its gates; illuminated by d-led's LED technology and accentuating 4 new concepts: Urban, Fashion, Classic and Vintage.

Lights outside the showroom
In this indoor project, Kobi Rosental, the project's lighting designer, integrated a variety of d-led's lighting fixtures and drivers. Rosental, from Teichman & co, was driven by the concept of simulating the natural light of the products within a home setting, just like they appear when installed in rooms in the house or in any space outside of a store show room.

The magic touch
The biggest challenge was to convert 90% of the old tech luminaires in the store to high tech LEDs based luminaires, without requiring a large scale demolition or reconstruction. The correctly balanced illumination of a room can make a significant change in space perception, so
small adjustments were necessary in order to create a big difference.

A creative conversion
Rosental wanted to convert the adjustable recessed 70W MH (metal halide) based luminaires, which initially illuminated the countertops displays (100 sq), to a 1000 lumens, CRI 90 and 15 Watts power LED modules. The idea behind it was to create a unified lighting surface, emphasizing the quality of the colors and complimenting the shades of the original stone.

For the differentiation between the various departments of the store, he chose to implement Plano adjustable fixtures with a-symmetrical reflector looking over the different products.
The stone walls in the costumer waiting area and in the store management's office were illuminated by Channel4 linear luminairs with LEDs in 2700K, to make them warm and welcoming.
Two of our QT fixtures were hanged as a work of art, high above the ceramic sinks (7 meters high), in order to stimulate drama and to play with the textures, shades and sizes in the store.
